I forgot I was a human being 🫢

How's the week treating you so far? It's been an interesting one for me. I've found myself well and truly in hustle mode… those periods of life where everything arrives at once. And honestly? It can get a bit overwhelming. I'm sure you know the feeling. High noradrenaline, momentum at all costs, working against an impossible timeline. Which affects our mind. Which affects our sleep. Which affects our overall quality of life. And all this affects who we actually are. There's nothing wrong with a bit of stress. It's that Achiever energy… pushing hard, kicking goals, and being activated. It can often be "good stress". Or, as it's sometimes called, eustress. But when we're not connecting with that opposite Balancer energy and allowing solid recovery time? That eustress can quickly tip over into DISTRESS. Not ideal. And I've been teetering there this week.

There's an old idea that we're not supposed to be human doings, but human beings. To define ourselves not by what we do, but who we are.

Some weeks, that's easier said than done. The hustle isn't always a choice, and sometimes life just doesn't give us the luxury of slowing down. But even within that, we always have a choice in how we return to a manageable baseline. Even if it's just taking a minute or two today to pause and turn that doing into a moment of being. Here's the beautiful irony… finding balance can actually help us achieve more, not less. So keep kicking those goals this week. And keep finding ways to make it sustainable. What might that be for you? I think a slow walk is on the cards for me today. Enjoy your rebalancing, and we’ll touch base next week.

Keep feeling,
Nathan
